The 8th CLMV Leadership Program in Japan (FY2014)
Under the theme of "Human Resource Development for Asian Emerging Markets," IIST introduced how Japanese government and companies have developed human resources for strengthening their competitiveness in global market and what Japanese companies expect for Asian human resources, to senior officials of governments and economic organizations of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Viet Nam (CLMV countries).

The participants received briefing from METI, HIDA and experts of human resources development in Asian region, thereby deepened their understanding of Japan's policies and measures for human resources development. They visited various companies in Tokyo and Utsunomiya, learned how these companies were developing their human resources and what these companies expect for local human resources when they expand their business in Asian regions.
